Yan Vellia is the wife of Didi Kempot, a highly acclaimed Indonesian musician and singer-songwriter who died of complications from cardiac arrest on 5 May 2020 in Surakarta. He was known for his heartbreaking tunes, and fans also nicknamed him ‘The Godfather of Broken Heart’. In 1987, he moved to Jakarta and and released his first trademark campursari album in 1989.
